In his 4th year of medical school he had the opportunity to do a PM&R rotation and realized it was similar to athletic training in terms of continuity and relationship with patients, which was exactly what he wanted from his career in medicine.
Dr. Wilson believes meaningful and proactive care looks at the whole person and works to address their needs holistically so they can live fulfilling and productive lives. This holistic approach takes into consideration everything that impacts a patient’s wellness and recovery – including their caregivers, their environment, psychosocial influences, social support, family support, and job support.
Dr. Wilson has been married to his wife, Adrian, for 15 years and together they share one son who is now 12 years old. A man of many hobbies, Dr. Wilson is a blacksmith, bladesmith, competitive shooter, and overall outdoorsman who loves to camp, hunt, and hang with his family and rescue greyhounds.
