Dr. Tom Coury
Dr. Tom Coury was born in Mesa, Arizona. A third-generation Arizona native, he attended Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, and went on to graduate with Honors from the University of San Diego.
He chose osteopathic medicine for its understanding of allowing the body to heal itself, and attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, the founding school of the profession. His 4 years of residency were in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry) at the University of Kentucky.
He then went on to complete fellowship at Southwest Spine and Sports in Scottsdale, Arizona, under Dr. Michael Wolff, a pioneer in the field.
Given his background both as a DO and a physiatrist, Dr. Coury’s passion is to help patients regain function, whether it’s return to work or return to play.
He has over ten years of experience working directly with the musculoskeletal system, and has performed over 1,000 spinal injection procedures.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Coury enjoys spending time with his wife and six children. He has completed several triathlons, and holds a private pilot license.
